So here's the story. My PS3 wouldn't update to latest fw so i decided to try to install CFW. how ever i got stuck on the memory dump step. It just froze there. So i tried to do a safe mode start and tried all the options with no luck. So now i decides that the file system might been corrupt. So i swiped the HD, and now the PS3 wouldn't even boot.

PS3 tried updating to newest OFW, but now is stuck on installing @99%. I have to unplug it or it'll be stuck indefinitely. This is a slim ps3, CECH-2501A. I did the safe mode recovery sequence, doesn't work. Goes straight to update process. I don't mind replacing the HDD, which would cancel the update process.
